What is GI mesh?
GI mesh is welded steel wire mesh that is galvanized (zinc coated) to resist rust. Our panels are 4 x 8 ft (1220 x 2440 mm) and are used for fencing, partitions, cages, shelving, machine guards, plaster and block work reinforcement and general fabrication.

How to calculate weight
Example: 3 mm wire at 50 x 50 mm = 12.33 x 9 ÷ 50 = 2.22 kg per m2, or about 6.61 kg per 4 x 8 ft panel.
